Credit for Clunkers

Credit for Clunkers

a limited-time offer

(as if we're rolling in dough) Landmark Computer Labs' Credit for Clunkers program offers you a discount toward the purchase of a new American-built Landmark computer.

Bring in your old computer, and we'll tell you what it's worth in trade. Then we'll give you a credit, if you wish, good toward any new Landmark-manufactured PC running Microsoft's Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 operating systems.

Clients trading in their existing Landmark computers save even more, since Landmark PCs hold their value so well.

We'll take the contents of your old computer and move them to the new computer, taking the burden of file transfer and configuration off your mind. We've been upgrading people's data for years. We do it so that you can concentrate on learning the new version of Windows, not in worrying about finding all your files.

One interesting option: We can make your entire Windows XP computer, data and all, appear as a window in Windows 7! Open your XP window, and you're running your old computer virtually. Everything's there. You can use your old printer, even if it's not supported in Windows 7. You can still use your old software, your scanner, your USB sticks, your Webcam -- you can use every device and every program you were using in your old XP computer -- even if they're not supported in Windows 7!

What's more, your virtual XP computer will probably run as fast or faster than your old XP computer.

Read those last two paragraphs carefully, please. This is a revolutionary concept!

Ask us for full details.

What happens to your old computer? We'll refurbish it or mine it for useful parts. Whatever we don't use will be recycled responsibly.

Too good to be true? Try us! This offer won't last forever, and won't be advertised widely.

This offer is subject to restrictions, some of which we may add to this list in the future. We're not subsidized by the US Government. It's our money, so we have to be very careful about how we throw it around. Here are some basic considerations:

  • Clunker must be in working order, and have a valid Windows license.*
  • Clunker must have at least a dual-core processor.
  • Monitor, if any, must be an LCD flat-screen monitor. CRT monitors are subject to the $10 recycling fee charged to us by the recycling organization.
  • We reserve the right to refuse equipment for credit, even if it meets the above criteria.

* This requirement waived if it's a Landmark PC. We'll gladly take any genuine Landmark back from our clients, and give a credit on it.
